Tommy sat on the couch with his older sister Emma, watching through the big living room window. Dark clouds were rolling in fast.
"There's a big storm coming tonight," said Mom. "But we're safe inside, and storms can be exciting to watch!" She checked the weather app on her phone. [📱 PHONE BUZZ]
Tommy felt a little nervous. He didn't like loud noises.

"It's okay, Max," Tommy said, petting him. "It's just a storm adventure!"
Even the cat Whiskers came out from hiding and curled up purring by the fire. [🐈 CAT MEOW]
Dad started playing soft music on his keyboard to help everyone relax. [🎹 PIANO]
Mom brought blankets and they all snuggled together on the couch.

"Right overhead!" everyone said together, then laughed.

Thunder rolled across the sky like giant drums! [⛈️ THUNDER] [⛈️ THUNDER] [⛈️ THUNDER]
But inside, Tommy felt safe and warm by the crackling fire. [🔥 FIRE CRACKLE]
"You know what?" he said. "This IS an adventure! The storm sounds are actually kind of cool when you understand them!"
Emma taught him about the water cycle. "That rain will water all the plants and fill up the streams!"
"And the thunder and lightning happen because of electricity in the clouds," Dad added.
"Nature is so powerful!" Tommy said, feeling amazed instead of scared.
Gradually, the storm began to calm down. The thunder grew quieter and farther away. [⛈️ THUNDER]
The rain became gentle again. [🌧️ RAIN] [🌧️ RAIN]
The wind settled to a soft whisper. [💨 WIND]
"It's moving past us," said Mom, checking her weather app one more time. [📱 PHONE BUZZ]
"Can we do this every time there's a storm?" Tommy asked. "Storm Adventure Night!"

Tommy looked out at the clear night sky. "Thanks for the adventure, storm," he whispered.
He climbed into bed and quickly fell asleep to the last gentle drops on his window. [🌧️ RAIN]
That night he dreamed of clouds and thunder and rain — and in his dream, he wasn't scared at all.
